Its the law. Domain names are valuable commodities, and just like property, all domain name registrations are stored as a matter of public record, in a database called WHOIS. Unfortunately, every day, spammers from around the globe mine data from the WHOIS database to find your personal contact information. They use this information to send you SPAM or simply sell your information to the highest bidders. What information can they get? Give it a try. Click here and enter a domain name in the box provided to find out the name, address, phone number and e-mail address of the person who owns that domain.

Spam Shield

Spam Shield allows you to keep your email address private in the WHOIS. We will substitute your email address for a random email address (such as yourname54132432@privacypost.com). Emails sent to the PrivacyPost address will be SPAM-filtered and then forwarded to the e-mail address you provide. This allows you to comply with the legal requirements, but will stop domain-related SPAM from ever landing in your inbox!

Unlike competitive products, your new @PrivacyPost e-mail address will automatically change every 10 days for even more protection from those who mine the WHOIS database for e-mail addresses!

WHOIS Privacy

WHOIS privacy is the ultimate in privacy services. Not only does this service include all the benefits of Spam Shield, but it also provides privacy for your mailing address and phone number. With WHOIS Privacy you can:

	Stop postal junk mail and sales calls.
	You retain complete legal ownership and management of your domain

WHOIS Privacy is available for the low annual fee of $5.00/year.

Adding Spam Shield and WHOIS Privacy to current domains

To add Spam Shield or WHOIS Privacy to domains that you already own, log into your account and 'Add Services' to the domains.

If you have not registered your domain name yet, click here to begin your private domain registrations. Please note that you can add WHOIS Privacy during domain registration by using the "Add Services" step of the checkout process. Spam Shield can only be added after registration.

Please note: Spam-Shield is not available for .ORG, .INFO, .BIZ or .US domains.
